The Beginning
Star Engineering was founded by Dr. Muhammad Farhan Khan as a mechanical workshop with a vision to deliver innovative engineering solutions. Soon after its establishment, the company earned its first major industrial opportunity by working with Shell, marking the beginning of its professional journey.
Entering Industrial Automation
As the Shell partnership continued, Star Engineering expanded into industrial automation by successfully developing systems such as Temperature Control and Oil Filling Control. These projects laid the groundwork for future automation solutions.
Training the Next Generation
Recognizing the need for practical technical education, Star Engineering launched its first training programs from a small apartment. The company introduced hands-on microcontroller courses and designed its own development boards, with over 200 boards used by aspiring engineers.
Expanding Our Expertise
During these years, Star Engineering completed a wide variety of industrial and institutional projects, including Load Management Systems for textile mills, Bahria University projects, Car Security Systems, UPS solutions, Intercom Systems, Generator Monitoring, and numerous customized automation solutions.
Sharing Knowledge Beyond Borders
Star Engineering expanded its influence by providing engineering consultancy for an international company in Dubai while continuing to strengthen its vocational training through advanced PLC courses and embedded systems education.
Advanced Engineering Solutions
The company continued developing embedded systems, including 8051 and AVR development platforms, while expanding into power engineering, energy analysis, and cathodic protection technologies. This period marked Star Engineering's transition toward more specialized industrial solutions.

Despite the challenges of COVID-19, Star Engineering remained committed to innovation by focusing on Hybrid Solar Inverter development and continuing research in energy-related technologies.
